OCTOBER

REVOLUTION

On October 17th 2019,

civil protests started in Lebanon,

known as the October Revolution.

The beginning of the Revolution was

peaceful, creative and hopeful;

and mainly led by the Lebanese youth.

Through art and dialogue,

public spaces were reclaimed,

social media spread awareness

and the Lebanese united as one like never before.

It was about the people of Lebanon.

Since October 17th,

the people have protested, lost their jobs, their money

lost hope, lost their homes, lost their Beirut.

The Lebanese haven't stop the fight for change

I was living in Lebanon when the Revolution started.

Our voices needed to be heard.

The people needed togetherness.

We created KALAM THAWRA
